At Share in the JOY events, children experience a day filled with fun, laughter, and exciting activities. But beyond the games, crafts, and entertainment, there’s something truly special happening—an opportunity for them to become real-life changemakers.

Introducing JOY’s Caring Crew—also known as The Crew—a program designed to inspire and empower children to give back to their community in a meaningful way.

Throughout our events, kids will discover three unique opportunities to serve others, woven seamlessly into the fun. Whether it’s making sandwiches for the homeless, creating toys for shelter animals, or writing heartfelt notes for first responders, these moments teach them the power of kindness, generosity, and service.

And here’s where it gets exciting—when a child chooses to participate in these acts of service, they earn a custom JOY’s Caring Crew sticker. Once they’ve collected three stickers, they receive a special certificate and a medal, recognizing their efforts to make the world a better place. We then bring them onto the stage and celebrate them for what they did.

For many of the children we serve, this is their first opportunity to experience the joy of giving. They come from backgrounds and living situations that don’t always foster a sense of service or allow them to volunteer. JOY’s Caring Crew changes that. It shows them that their time, energy, and kindness matter—and that even at a young age, they can make an impact.

Because when kids give back, they don’t just change the world… they change themselves.
