    What we do

help children in our community

Foster Care

Through thoughtfully designed programs and transformative experiences, we support youth in foster care, kinship, and fictive kin placements by restoring confidence, building connection, and empowering them to give back. Because real healing begins when children discover they still have something meaningful to offer.

Housing Insecure

Through practical resources and intentional connection, we support children and families experiencing housing insecurity by restoring stability where crisis has created disruption, helping children rebuild confidence, rediscover belonging, and move toward healing with hope.

Exposed to DV

Through intentional partnerships with local women's shelters and healing-centered experiences, we support children exposed to domestic violence by restoring safety and rebuilding confidence. We work to strengthen family connections, and help break the cycles trauma too often creates.

Animals in Shelters

We recognize that healing and connection often extend beyond people. For many children impacted by foster care, domestic violence, or housing instability, separation from a beloved pet can be another profound layer of trauma and loss. Through partnerships that support animals connected to the children we serve, we help preserve compassion, restore connection, and create healing opportunities rooted in empathy, comfort, and care.

This is an officially recognized partnership, and every dollar and donated item received through this link will be used to support CCFS’s vital events and outreach.

Centennial Subaru – 190 foster youth received free warm jackets through our partnership with Subaru's Share the Love Initiative
My Story My Song – 4 foster youth were paired with 4 professional songwriters to turn their lived experiences into songs of healing

    Our Signature Programs

A unique and meaningful experience where youth without positive male role models are paired with caring men from the community for a day of mentorship, connection, and shared experiences. Through practical life skills and intentional relationship-building, Fatherfigurehood helps restore confidence, belonging, and connection, proving just as impactful for the mentors who show up as the youth they support.

Now entering its third year and opening to the public this October, Empowering JOY brings together professionals, community leaders, and partners to support women and youth impacted by trauma through experiences designed to restore confidence, rebuild connection, strengthen resilience, and create pathways toward healing, empowerment, and lasting change.

Now entering its fifth year, HoliJOY continues to redefine holiday magic for children impacted by foster care, domestic violence, and housing insecurity. By shifting the holiday experience from simply receiving to giving and giving back, HoliJOY creates healing through connection, compassion, and the confidence children gain when they discover they still have something meaningful to give.

Our Gallery

Share in the JOY volunteers collected and delivered furniture for a single mom of 3 who lost all possessions in an apartment fire. Help us help the homeless and housing insecure families in our community.

      October 3rd / Empowering JOY *Signature Event* Share in the JOY will host our 3rd annual Empowering JOY event. This year we will open to the public for the first time. For information or to volunteer in the future please reach out!

      December 13th / HoliJOY *Signature Event* Share in the JOY our 5th annual HoliJOY event. This is a private event for 500 children in care focused on the magic of GIVING and GIVING BACK. For registration information or to volunteer please reach out!
    
      Ongoing / Kid’s Night is held the 2nd Tuesday every month at Texas Roadhouse BBQ in Henderson, 1421 W. Sunset Rd, Henderson. Share in the JOY partners with the team at Texas Roadhouse, who offers free meals for 30+ kids in foster care every month! Come see JOY and enjoy some popcorn, face painting, and cotton candy as you support Texas Roadhouse in supporting kids in care!
   
      Ongoing / Share in the JOY Day is held the 4th Tuesday every month at Child Haven and is a private event to support the children who live on campus. We would like to find community partners who would like to offer meals and resources to the kids!
