Furnishing JOY - Providing Basic Needs to Those in Need

At Share in the JOY, we’re dedicated to spreading happiness and making a positive impact in the lives of those in need. Our newest initiative, Furnishing JOY, is designed to bring comfort and joy to individuals and families transitioning to permanent housing who might need some help with basic furnishings.

What is Furnishing JOY?

Furnishing JOY is a compassionate initiative dedicated to offering crucial furniture and household essentials to individuals and families embarking on new beginnings. Recognizing the daunting nature of relocation, particularly for those confronting financial constraints or other adversities, we are steadfast in our commitment to alleviating the burdens associated with such transitions. Our aim is to cultivate cozy and inviting living environments for those in need. Whether it’s aiding a family rebuilding after a devastating fire, supporting a foster youth transitioning out of the system, assisting a survivor of violence seeking refuge with nothing, or aiding a homeless individual or family securing housing, our program stands ready to provide essential support and comfort to those we serve.

How Does it Work?

Through partnerships with local organizations, shelters, and community outreach programs, Share in the JOY collects gently used furniture and household items from generous donors. These items are then carefully distributed to individuals and families in need, allowing them to furnish their homes and create a sense of stability and security.

Furnishing JOY is made possible through generous donations from the communities we serve, as well as our esteemed business partners, Junkluggers of Las Vegas and Epic Storage in Henderson. Junkluggers of Las Vegas graciously donates gently used furniture to complement the items we require, ensuring that we can meet the diverse needs of those we serve. Additionally, Epic Storage in Henderson generously extends a discount, enabling us to store the donated furniture efficiently until it is ready to be delivered to individuals and families in need. Together, with the support of these invaluable partners, we are able to fulfill our mission of creating warm and welcoming living spaces for those embarking on new beginnings.

The Mission

Our mission with the Furnishing JOY initiative is simple: to provide comfort, support, and hope to those undergoing major life transitions. By furnishing homes with essential items, we aim to alleviate stress and empower individuals and families to thrive in their new environments.
