Fostering JOY: Our Community Supporting CASA Volunteers and Children in Foster Care

Fostering JOY is a program dedicated supporting CASA Volunteers, in collaboration with Champions for CASA. At Share in the JOY, we understand the vital role that a CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocate, plays in the lives of children in the foster care system. We are committed to finding new ways to support them every step of the way..

Our Mission

Fostering JOY was established to alleviate some of the challenges faced by CASAs who tirelessly advocate for children in foster care. These volunteers, often unpaid, invest their time and resources to nurture relationships with the children they serve, aiming to provide them with stability and support during a tumultuous time in their lives.

How We Help

Through Fostering JOY, we partner with local businesses to find safe places and provide enriching experiences for CASAs and the children they advocate for. These businesses generously offer free or discounted meals or activities which relieves some of the financial burden on volunteers and allowing them to focus on building trust and rapport with the children.

The Impact

By facilitating these experiences, Fostering JOY empowers CASA volunteers to advocate more effectively for the well-being and future success of the children in their care. Through meaningful interactions and shared experiences, volunteers can better understand the needs and preferences of the children, ultimately influencing recommendations for their ideal placement.

Get Involved

We are immensely grateful for the dedication of CASA volunteers and the support of local businesses that make Fostering JOY possible. If you are interested in learning more about ways to support our program, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

About CASA
If you’re curious about the CASA program or considering becoming a CASA volunteer yourself, we encourage you to visit championsforcasa.org. A CASA is a trained volunteer who is appointed by a judge to advocate for the best interests of youth in foster care. These volunteers dedicate a few hours per week to building relationships with the children they serve. They also attend court hearings, school meetings, and advocate for their needs within the foster care system.

Thank you for your interest in Fostering JOY and for your support in creating brighter futures for children in foster care, one joyful moment at a time.
