At Share in the JOY, we believe in the power of community and the importance of nurturing strong, supportive relationships for children who may not have had the opportunity to experience them otherwise.

With this mission in mind, we’re excited to announce our newest event: “The JOY of Father-Figurehood“

Scheduled to take place on Father’s Day weekend, this special occasion aims to celebrate the role of positive male figures in children’s lives and create cherished memories for those who may be missing this connection.

The JOY of Father-Figurehood is more than just an event; it’s an opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children who need it most. Through a variety of engaging activities and heartfelt interactions, we aim to provide children with a weekend filled with laughter, learning, and love.

We invite you to join us for The JOY of Father-Figurehood and be a part of something truly special. Whether you’re a father, a father figure, or simply someone who wants to make a positive difference in a child’s life, your participation is invaluable.

Event Details

Date: June 15

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Overview: The JOY of Fatherfigurehood will be an event focused on bridging the parental gaps children who don’t have positive male role models in their lives are missing. Through activities, stations and games there will be learning opportunities, teaching moments and the kind of bonding that comes from shared experiences. Things the children attending our event are missing.

Purpose: To give children without father figures in their lives an opportunity to spend time with men who are committed to making a positive difference, if only for a day.

Attendees: Children in foster care will be the primary invitees through our partnerships with St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, Child Haven and through the monthly DFS letter distributed to local families with foster children.

Theme: Park setting with a tailgate atmosphere to create opportunities for bonding, learning and fun.

Venue: We have secured a park in Las Vegas where the event will be held. As this is a private event, specific details are only shared with the volunteers and invitees.

Event Highlights

Bonding Activities: Engaging games and activities for kids of all ages.

Activity Stations: From kids building kits donated by The Home Depot to a section for fishing and another to learn how to ride a bike. These are just a few.

Learning and FUN: There will be several teaching opportunities throughout the event, along with competetive games and prizes for everyone.

Amazing Partnerships: From our nonprofit partners like Raider Dad and JayRose Enrichment Center to our community partners like Kuties and Kupcakes and DJ Mikey VIP, the support for Fatherfigurehood has been overwhelming.

Catered Meal: Both Texas Roadhouse BBQ and Raising Canes will be supporting our event with donated food and drinks.
