help in our community

Children in foster care

Through thoughtfully organized programs and events emphasizing sibling reunification and positive experiences, we aim to alleviate the stress and anxiety associated with foster placement for children.

Homeless Persons

Our initiatives encompass food, clothing, and essentials drives, as well as distribution events, designed to empower caring volunteers to make a tangible difference in the lives of our homeless population and those facing housing instability.

Domestic violence victims

By partnering with local charities and orchestrating events that foster a sense of security, we strive to aid families in their healing process and provide them with the necessary resources and support to rebuild their lives.

Animals in shelter

Through educational campaigns and adoption events in collaboration with local shelters, we seek to raise awareness and reduce the number of animals in shelters, thereby enhancing their quality of life and fostering enriching environments for both pets and their adoptive families.

Share in the JOY is proud to serve as the official fiscal nonprofit partner for Clark County Family Services (CCFS) in support of programs and events that benefit children in foster care.

As part of this partnership, Share in the JOY manages donations and community support for CCFS’s events including:

We are responsible for collecting, tracking, and providing donation receipts for both in-kind and monetary donations that support these initiatives. This ensures transparency, accountability, and a streamlined process for all donors and partners.

    Our Signature Programs

A unique and very special event where youth without a positive male role model in their life will once again be paired with men in the community for a day of learning, mentorship, and FUN! Activities focus on “parenting gaps”, or life lessons and skills these youth may never learn otherwise. In the end, the experience proves just as impactful for the Men-tors who give their time as the kids who receive that time.

Now in its second year, Empowering JOY unites professionals and nonprofit leaders to uplift and equip female survivors of domestic violence and foster youth transitioning to independence. Through four key areas of empowerment, this event provides essential resources, mentorship, and support, helping participants build confidence, resilience, and a path toward a brighter future.

Now in its fourth year, HoliJOY is expanding to bring holiday magic to even more children in need. Last year, 364 youth experienced the JOY of this special event as we welcomed not only foster youth but also those from families facing domestic violence or housing insecurity—ensuring every child feels the warmth, wonder, and JOY of the season. This unique event lets kids experience the magic of GIVING.

      Come see us at National Sibling Day on April 5th as we support St. Jude’s Ranch for Children and their sibling preservation program. Location: Tivoli Village.
    
      Share in the JOY is partnering with the City of Henderson Senior Center for Senior Pets for Seniors Adoption Day on April 9th at Heritage Park Rec Center, 300 S. Racetrack Ave, Henderson from 10am-2pm.
    
      Share in the JOY is co-hosting our 2nd annual Back to School Night on Aug 9th at Black Mountain Rec Center, 599 Greenway Blvd, Henderson. Look for registration details in Henderson Happenings. Registration includes a free backpack filled with school supplies!
    
      Share in the JOY is co-hosting the 2nd annual Lotzafun End of Summer event with Lion’s Clubs of Las Vegas District 46. This is a private event for children in care and families in need. For registration information please reach out!
    
      Kid’s Night is held the 2nd Tuesday every month at Texas Roadhouse BBQ in Henderson, 1421 W. Sunset Rd, Henderson. Share in the JOY partners with the team at Texas Roadhouse, who offers free meals for 30+ kids in foster care every month! Come see JOY and enjoy some popcorn, face painting, and cotton candy as you support Texas Roadhouse in supporting kids in care!
