President of the Board

Stephanie Laurent Johnson, a Trauma-Informed Certified Life Coach, excels in Behavioral Health since ’05. With 20+ years of passion for psychology, she specializes in trauma, mental health, and addictions. Experienced in adolescent programs, her Private Practice aids 11+ year-olds, young adults, and families in conflict resolution and communication. A Bonus Mom herself, she guides blended families through Step-Coparenting’s challenges. Stephanie empowers women to align with core values, nurturing faith, soul, relationships, and divine calling. She delves into brain processing, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation for optimal well-being.

Tess Favazza

Vice President of the board

Tess is a seasoned accounting professional with an impressive three-decade career. Her enduring dedication to aiding others is only matched by her commitment to championing numerous charitable causes. Armed with a BBA in Accounting and an MSA in Accounting Systems, Tess seamlessly merges her academic prowess with practical experience. With over 30 years of financial acumen, she combines her expertise with a compassionate drive to make a meaningful impact. Tess’s unwavering devotion to both her profession and philanthropy underscores her unique ability to create positive change.

Cooper Haddrill


Cooper is a business analyst at The Groop family office. He has a commitment and love for community service and has worked with our National Parks to restore and repair trails and has a passion for preserving our natural wonders and for giving back. He is a distinguished graduate in Finance from UNLV’s Lee Business School. As a financial representative at Northwestern Mutual, he earned the honor of being a top 10 intern nationally.

Caren Naiman

Board Member

Caren has been involved in nonprofit work for more than 20 years. She has worked with adults and children with various disabilities, mental health education, LGBTQIA+ transitional housing and healthcare, and community resource and advocacy, and has worked with more than fifteen organizations to make a positive difference in her community. Caren holds a MA in Human Behavior with a BA in Sociology and a DEI certificate from Cornell University.

Patricia McClure

Board Member

Patty has more than 20 years experience in volunteering with various organizations. She worked with children through her home church in New Mexico where she grew up in various capacities from Sunday school to summer vacation bible school. She worked in the Baptist Child Development center and has volunteered her time with the Southern NM Fair and Rodeo , Boys and Girls Club, Safe Key and with St. Jude’s Ranch Christmas event. She’s been married 29 years with two daughters and a granddaughter.

Shelly Severin

Board Member

Shelly is a native of Las Vegas. She has over 39 years in the printing, copying, and graphic arts business. Currently she is working for the Clark County School District running their print and copy center. She likes that where she works allows her to do things that affect children in a positive way. She is passionate about working hard and helping to make a positive impact in the community through being a member of our Board of Directors.

Patrick Adam

Volunteer Services Coordinator

Patrick Adam is currently the Training Coordinator for St. Jude’s Ranch for Children and a certified EMT. Patrick has experience in training and licensing foster parents and has a passion for volunteering and giving back. He’s excited to join the Share in the JOY team as Volunteer Services Coordinator and help organize our growing pool of members who want to make a difference in the community. 

Harold Brooks

Community Outreach Coordinator

Harold Brooks is a young professional looking to make a positive impact in the community. As a former football player and coach at Hardin-Simmons University he knows the value of both hard work and teamwork. Harold is a graduate of Eastern Gateway Community College with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. His previous non-profit experience includes working with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and volunteering for his family’s non-profit organization Douglass Visions which serves the community where he grew up of Plano, Texas through various events and activities.

Kara Holdsambeck

Director of Development

Kara is currently a Pre-Law student at Nevada State University and will graduate with her bachelor’s degree in the spring after which she will attend law school at UNLV.  As a passionate advocate for the well-being and empowerment of children in foster care, she will become an attorney and fight for the rights of children in individual cases as well as in Congress. Showing up for these children in our community is her passion, and she brings that passion to our leadership team.




Chris Duhrkoop


Chris possesses an unwavering passion for assisting others, and the journey of Share in the JOY has spanned years to reach its current point.

By uniting individuals around a shared vision for change, he has curated a team of dynamic individuals dedicated to effecting positive change through their collaboration with Share in the JOY.

Chris’s commitment to philanthropy is evident in his volunteer work with esteemed organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, and The Snoop Youth Football League. He also holds membership at Central Christian Church in Henderson, solidifying his ties to the community he has called home since 2007.

However, his most profound role is that of a father, driven by the desire to set a compelling example for his children. By taking initiative, dedicating time to volunteerism, practicing kindness, and wholeheartedly embracing the spirit of Sharing in the JOY, Chris aims to demonstrate that positive transformations within the lives of those in need can be achieved.
